Day 3…still didn’t get out for a run. We went out to the park today to go for walk and a short run. But not even 5 minutes into the walk (which was not at my usual brisk pace), my knee really began to ache and I was concentrating on not limping. So, listening to the advice of my coach/husband…I’m holding off a bit longer.
My husband, an avid and experienced runner, assures me I will not be back to square one if I miss a few days. I’m actually surprised to find myself wishing I were out running. Something about losing myself in the effort and only concentrating on that next step is oddly relaxing. For a while, the only thing that matters is putting the road behind you and eating up the road ahead.
